Presentation: assessment

REMINDER:  
You must submit the script of your presentation before Monday 10 December 2012.

Do NOT POST it on this blog but you can either send it by email to lbengayed@yahoo.com or give it to me on Monday.

Your work will be assessed according to the following criteria:



THE INTRODUCTION (3.5 pts)

• Welcoming the audience
• Introducing oneself (name, position)
• Getting the audience’s attention
• Introducing the topic
• Explaining why the topic is relevant for the audience
• Stating the purpose of the presentation
• Presenting the structure of the talk
• Giving the length of the presentation
• Helping the audience to remember the presentation
• Presenting the questions policy

 THE MIDDLE OF THE PRESENTATION (6.5 pts)

• 3 parts, organized in a logical way
• Each part is divided into different sub-parts
• The different parts of the presentation are signaled

o   Ending the introduction

o   Beginning the main body

o   Ending the main body

• The organization:

o   Logical structure

o   Information is organized into lists

o   Linkers are used to facilitate understanding

o   Information is sequenced

THE ENDING (3.5 pts)

• Ending the main body of the presentation
• Summary
• Conclusion
• Inviting questions

THE TOPIC (1.5 pts)

• Originality,
• Coherence, 
• Richness of information

THE LANGUAGE (5 pts) 

• Spelling
• Grammar
• Vocabulary

DEADLINE

Don't forget that the deadline for submitting your project (the script of your oral presentation - introduction+body+ending- about tourism in Tunisia) is Monday 10 December 2012.

THE ENDING

You can now write and post the ending of your presentation here (just click on 'comments' below and type in your text).
Please remember that the conclusion should include the following:

•  Ending the main body of the presentation
• Summary
• Conclusion
• Inviting questions

Don't forget to read the other groups' work and to give them your feedback!
